Senior Meals on Wheels.

Homebound individuals 60 years of age or older living in our service area are eligible to receive well-balanced, nutritious meals delivered to their homes Monday through Friday. In Wallingford and Bethany, a box of five chilled meals can be delivered once per week. Senior Meals on Wheels allows older adults to stay in the familiar and comfortable surroundings of their own home, while offering a friendly check-in with one of our drivers.

All menus are created by a Registered Dietitian and approved by the State as meeting one-third of the Recommended Daily Intake for seniors. A variety of therapeutic meals including diabetic, renal, chopped, and pureed choices are available to satisfy special dietary requirements as prescribed by the participant’s physician. Why eat alone when you can join friends and neighbors at your local senior community café? There are 16 sites throughout the Greater New Haven area. If you are age 60 or over, a nutritious, delicious, hot meal is served Monday through Friday from 11:30am to 12:30pm for a suggested donation of $3.00.
